Olana State Historic Site, Greenport New York.  2018 - Present

Olana State Historic Site is a historic house and an exquisite property in Greenport, New York, near the city of Hudson.  The house was home to Frederic Church who lived between 1826 and 1900.  He was one of the major figures in the Hudson River School of landscape painting.  The surroundings, including the wide view of the Hudson River Valley and the Catskill Mountains, inspired Church and now inspire all of us who visit. Linda and I have been volunteering there since 2018. We help with their events by registering participants and serving refreshments and also help with administrative chores such as mailings.
