United Way of Westchester – 1982 to 1985

General Chairman 1984-1985

While Commissioner of Community Mental Health in Westchester County, New York, I became active with the United Way of Westchester from 1982 to 1985. I was focused on forging a public/private partnership among organizations that provide health, mental health, and social services to county residents. After a couple of years of leading one of its campaign divisions, I was appointed General Chairman of the Campaign,
